Immunisation Year 8 and Year 10 - Phase One

This year all Year 8 and 10 students are eligible to receive free vaccinations as part of Queensland Health’s annual School Based Vaccination Program. 

Year 8 students are being offered vaccination to protect against:

  • Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

  • Chickenpox

  • Human Papillomavirus

 Year 10 students are being offered vaccination to protect against:

  • Diptheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

  • Human Papillomavirus (Catch-up program for boys only)

The vaccinations will be conducted by a team of registered nurses specially trained in immunisation. 

A consent form for each vaccine offered has been given to your child to bring home.  Please note that no child will be vaccinated without parental consent.  Please read the information carefully, sign the consent form irrespective of whether you wish your child to be vaccinated or not and return the consent form to the school as soon as possible.

Vaccinations are scheduled in 2015 for:

Phase One -  Monday 30 March – 9.00 am – 11.00 am  - All Year 8 and 10 students

Phase Two –  Monday 22 June  - 9.00 am – 10.30 am  -  All of Year 8 only

Phase Three – Monday 23 November – 9.00 – 10.30 am – All of Year 8 only

Parents are encouraged to ensure their children have breakfast on the morning of vaccination.
